Our Story

  • Jr. Beta and Journalism Fundraiser
    Jr. Beta and Journalism will sponsor a school wide dance on January 30, from 7:00 - 10:00, in the gym.  The admission will be $3.00 at the door and snacks will be sold.
  • Talent Search
    Any student interested in participating in Talent Search need to see Ms. Pace for an application.
  • Mini Awards Programs
    6th grade - Wednesday, January 21 from 9:00 - 9:30
    7th grade - Wednesday, January 28 from 8:30 - 9:00
    8th grade - Monday, January 26 from 9:00 - 9:30
  • Mother-Son Dance
    The Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department will host a Mother-Son Dance on Friday evening, February 6, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Vann Community House in Swainsboro.  The dance is for boys, ages 5 - 12 and their mothers (or an adult escort).  Pre-registration is required and a minimum of 15 couples must be registered as of January 30 in order for the dance to be held.  Cost is $20.00 per couple.  Mark Williams Studio will be set up to take pictures from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.)

  • Jr. Beta Service Project
    The Jr. Beta Club is collecting dry or wet dog food through February 5, to help the Emanuel County Animal Shelter.  The homeroom that collects the most will receive a prize.
  • Wanna Meet Some Chicks?
    Join the 4-H Poultry Judging Team!  Learn about the parts of a chicken, how to tell if an egg is good to eat, learn about the laying process, handle chickens, and work on your public speaking skills.  Come and learn new research-based skills and test your knowledge on poultry!  Get ready, because Poultry Judging starts in February.
  • 4-H Junior Milkmake Contest
    Recipes are due by February 20.  The competition is February 26 from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.  Call 478-237-1226 for more information.
  • 4-H Summer Camp Opportunities
    Registration begins on Monday, February 2, at 7:30 a.m.  A $100 non-refundable deposit for all camps is due at registration.  Call 478-237-1226 for more information.
  • Project S.A.F.E. Opportunities
    4-H Archery Team - Practice begins on Friday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m.
    4-H Modified Trap - Beginner's meeting on Thursday, March 5 to review safety information.  Location and time TBA
